In an effort to keep the city clean and prevent waterlogging during the ongoing monsoon season, the waste management department of the Bogura municipal authority has intensified its daily cleaning operations across various wards.
Municipal cleaning crews, equipped with waste disposal trucks and specialized collection vans, have been deployed to clear accumulated street garbage, seasonal organic waste, and debris from key roadside points. Local residents have noted a visible increase in the frequency of garbage collection, which is vital for keeping the city’s drainage systems free-flowing during heavy downpours.
According to municipal field workers, coordinated teams are working on tight schedules to collect waste directly from neighborhood drop-off points and transport it efficiently to designated landfill sites.
The authorities have also urged citizens to dispose of household waste responsibly in designated bins to assist the cleaning crews in maintaining civic hygiene.
